how much cement was that per each leg !? 40x40x50 cm ? that's about 100kg based on an online calculator for cement! do you really need that much weight? i mean do you need 400kg of cement to keep this from flying away? equals to 4-5 full-grown men 😅

    • @mitre10nz

The pergola posts are securely anchored and will withstand the test of time and environmental conditions. Properly anchoring posts with sufficient cement is crucial for the stability and durability of outdoor structures like pergolas. ^Cam

If you can't find the fancy screws, would deck screws and a bit of silicone work to screw it through the channels instead of the ridges?

It's always interesting to learn the different names used in other lands. What we in the States call "carriage bolts" apparently are "code screws" unless I'm hearing it wrong.

Why is the outlet so high up the tank? That looks like a big chunk of unpumpable water. Wouldn't 100mm from the bottom be ok? Especially for a garden pump where it doesn't matter if sediments are pumped...

Love the video! I want to build my own bathroom essentially by simply building a four frame wall fixed together and celiing. I'll let the plumber fit the shower, basin and toilet but as long as can build a nice small space that can comfortibly contain these admendities that would be great. I assume I can use the same princaples as your videos and take into account I am using siding that is water resistant. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of building one like this so that i can put solar panels on it rather than my shed/radio shack. The problem is where i want to put it, i cant dig down because of the easement. It would somehow need to be moveable. Would I be able to use those raised concrete bases and level them out?

I really enjoyed watching your video very interesting as I'm building a deck at the moment myself for my dads house, I noticed that you put your posts straight in the post holes. In Australia the BCA requirements are that the posts must sit on anchors due to climate that may damage the timber however I just put them straight in with concrete just like you did because I realised it much stronger is there anything you can say about that. Thanks in advance friend
